1970 Ford Ranchero
1970 saw a completely redesigned body style for the Ranchero. It featured a shallow-pointed grille and front end with smooth and rounder lines. The Ranchero Squire was a more costly trim package and featured a wood grain applique resembling the looks on the Country Squire station wagon. Some of the available options for the year included the all-new Ram-Air 429 Cobra Jet or Super Cobra Jet engines displaying a slightly different 'shaker' hood scoop. Also offered was a new-look grille which featured hide-away headlamps. On the GT model a new hood with an oversized scoop could be ordered.
The 1970 model displayed the 'RANCHERO' or 'RANCHERO GT' badge on the glove compartment.
