1965 Corvette History

1965 is the first and last year for the 396 cid engine offered in a Corvette. It was also the first year for outside exhaust pipes and four-wheel disc brakes. Fender louvers got a face lift and were turned to a vertical stance. 1965 would be the last year Corvette would offer fuel injection until 1985.

Production for the 1965 Corvette amounted to 23,562 units, split between 8,186 coupes and 15,376 convertibles.
