1970 Corvette History
The 1970 Corvette 427 cid engine grows to 454 cid, and the much loved LT1 engine is first introduced (350 cid 370 bhp). One unique visual change is the "cross-notch" grille and matching fender louvers; also the fenders flare out a bit more.
Sales are considerably down from the last year due to a late production start.
Production for the year was 10,668 coupes and 6,648 convertibles, for a low combined total of 17,316 units.
