1970 El Camino SS

The 1970 model could be ordered with a new SS396 actually displaying 402 cu in. The LS6 454 in. engine was also an option for the 1970 El Camino, which happened to be the 'ultimate' and most powerfull high performance engine in 1970, rated at 450 hp and 500 lb·ft of torque. The only two transmissions offered with the LS6 package were a close-ratio four speed and a Turbo-Hydromatic.
